Our Team

I’ve had a fascination with candles for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the country of Honduras (Central America) and it was there where I had my first experience with candles. The electrical grid system where I lived was unstable and would fail or be shut off frequently. I remember as a young child seeing my mom getting matches and lighting a white candle to brighten our house during these outages. When I moved to the United States, a friend gifted me a soy candle and my interest in candles rekindled. During the pandemic I challenged myself to learn something new, and what better thing than creating toxic-free, eco-friendly candles. This is how Newman Candle Co. was born.
